New Monmouth New Start

New Monmouth New Start

Today is a really special day for Abaca. For years we have been selling our mattresses through other companies, but from the 1st April 2016 we are going it alone! From now on you will only be able to buy our lovely organic mattresses direct from us, and to celebrate this we have upgraded what we offer both in terms of our products and our delivery.

An Abaca pocket sprung mattress now comes with more luxury and more choice. For a while now our latex mattresses have been available as ‘soft, medium or firm’ and our new pocket sprung range now offers the same flexible choices. So let’s start at the top and look at our Monmouth mattress which is the deepest and most luxurious.

The combination of wool and horsehair has long been used by companies such as Hastens to produce mattresses that uniquely comfortable. Abaca adds our organic ethos to that story, and our new Monmouth mattress is a superb example of what a handmade mattress should be.

Over two and a half kilos of horsehair per square metre is used in layer upon layer to give unparalleled support. Lashings of organic wool give comfort, breathability and sumptuousness. All this is carefully sewn around the pocket spring before the organic cotton cover is hand stitched in place, and the mattress is hand tufted to ensure the layers remain safely in place. This is a lovely mattress that will keep you sleeping soundly for many years to come!

We are also offering a personal consultation service that will help you decide which mattress is best for you and in what firmness. During working hours you can call 01269 598 491 and ask to speak to Rhiannon, or e-mail info@abacaorganic.co.uk with a date and time when it would be convenient for us to call you.

All our mattresses now come with a free of charge two person delivery. The delivery company will take the mattress to whichever room in the house you prefer and take the packaging away if you so wish. There are some exceptions to this in that we will need to make a small charge for things that are delivered to the furthest corners of the UK. A list of the post codes affected is available on our web site.
